Grow your roofing business with coating tools from Rooftop Equipment.
Think it’s too expensive to get into the coating business? Think again.
There’s no doubt about it: Spray rigs for roof coatings are pricey. If they worked well, they might be worth the investment, but in general they don’t. Most sprayers offer inconsistent coverage, they’re a hassle to clean, and they waste material in overspray.
With innovative tools from Rooftop Equipment, you can offer coating services at a fraction of the cost with none of the headaches.

What comes with a Tank Spreader?
Each Tank Spreader comes packaged with a frame, tank, and your choice of Spreader Roller or Profile Roller (for 14″ Tank Spreaders).
What are clean-up & maintenance like?
Most materials, such as acrylic, silicone, or urethane, won’t stick to the polyethylene tank. Open the drain hole on the back of the tank, and pour leftover materials into a pail. Then, after any remaining material cures, simply peel it from the tank. (To make clean-up fast and easy on future jobs, spray tank surfaces with silicone before each use.) Solvent-based materials may not peel out, so we’ve made our tanks easy to replace; simply spin a couple of wingnuts, and clean-up is done.
To protect the tires and easily peel away any build-up, simply cover them with Teflon tape.
Is it possible to control the rate of flow?
Absolutely—and without a bunch of knobs, levers, and dials to complicate the process and cause breakdowns. Our Tank Spreaders are gravity-fed, which means the larger the holes, the more material will flow. As you’re applying material, watch the running puddle in front of the roller. If the puddle disappears, your flow isn’t optimized. Simply enlarge a few of the center-most holes on the tank, 1/16” at a time, to increase your application speed—and your productivity.
Rollers
Which rollers work with a tank spreader?
We offer Spreader Rollers for all three Tank Spreader Sizes (SingleWide, DoubleWide, and Super). For ribbed roofs, choose our SingleWide Spreader and Profile Rollers.
What are profile rollers?
Profile Rollers are designed to accurately cover the contours of ribbed, metal roof panels without messy overspray. Dramatically improve your profit margin by eliminating wasted time and materials.
We offer eight profiles: AG, R, HI R (PBR), Single Lock, Snap Lock, Tee, Trapezoid, and Batten. We can also create custom Profile Rollers to perfectly match your job.
How many rollers are required per job?
We recommend one roller per day per tool.
Are there rollers for application by hand?
Yes! Trust our heavy-duty, welded steel Hand Roller Frames to outlast even your toughest jobs. Decrease muscle fatigue with our six-foot, ribbed-aluminum handles, rely on our lubricated thru-axles with no failure-prone adjustable parts, and enjoy peace of mind with our 5-year frame warranty.
With our Hand Rollers, you can load twice the material typical rollers can handle, which means you’ll cover twice the surface area in half the time and get to your next job faster.
Our Profile Rollers are available in 8″ widths to fit our Hand Roller Frames (in addition to 14″ widths for our Tank Spreader).
